KCK man shot at his front door

A Kansas City, Kan., homeowner was shot and critically wounded this afternoon after a confrontation at his front door with two suspects wearing hard hats.

The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. in the 2900 block of N. 99th Street, according to Kansas City, Kan., police.

Police said the two suspects fled the scene in a white utility van.
