Three things about Texas

1 Case McCoy is expected to start at quarterback for the Longhorns in place of David Ash, who injured his ribs last week against TCU. McCoy has experience and led Texas to a come-from-behind victory over Kansas this year. But he hasn’t started a game.

2 Mike Davis is one of the best receivers in the Big 12. He has caught 51 passes for 891 yards and seven touchdowns.

3 Texas has played better on the road than it has at home. The Longhorns are 4-0 in true road games, with victories over Oklahoma State, Mississippi, Kansas and Texas Tech.

K-State’s offensive line vs. Texas’s linebackers: The Wildcats have to run the ball effectively to beat the Longhorns. They weren’t able to do that in their last two games because the offensive line struggled.
