The Chiefs waived offensive lineman Rich Ranglin on Saturday and promoted wide receiver Jamar Newsome from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Newsome made his NFL debut last season, playing in two games for Jacksonville before joining the Chiefs.

Ranglin joined the Chiefs as a free agent this season after playing for three different Arena Football League teams, including the Command.
