Tate Stevens slips slightly on ‘X Factor’

Updated: 2012-11-23T04:30:54Z

Despite dropping to No. 2 in viewer votes on Fox’s “The X Factor,” Tate Stevens still has plenty to be thankful for.

The country singer (and Belton street crew worker) is now in the singing competition’s Top 8. On Thursday’s live show, vote rankings revealed that Stevens had swapped places with teen singer Carly Rose Sonenclar, who finished No. 1 for the first time.

Vino Alan of Waynesville, Mo., remained third.

Shown the door Thursday night: teens Beatrice Miller and Arin Ray.
