First Half

Key play: Travis Releford hit his fourth three-pointer of the half, giving KU a 28-14 lead with 7:36 left in the half.

Key stat: Releford scored 17 points while Saint Louis still had 10 as a team.

Second half

Key play: KU’s Elijah Johnson hit Travis Releford for a transition dunk as Saint Louis was threatening to stick around late.

Key stat: KU center Jeff Withey finished with seven blocks.

Bahamas bound

• Kansas appears to be headed for the Battle of Atlantis Tournament in the Bahamas next year. The field also is expected to include Wake Forest, Tennessee, Southern California and Xavier, among others. Michigan State also is a possibility for the event, according to ESPN.

• The Jayhawks will have five days off before their next game, a matchup with San Jose State at 8 p.m. Monday at Allen Fieldhouse.

• Senior guard Releford, who took home most valuable player honors, was joined on the CBE Classic all-tournament team by senior center Jeff Withey and freshman Ben McLemore.
