The Sunflower Showdown will end the football season for Kansas State and Kansas in 2013.

The teams will meet in Lawrence on Nov. 30, 2013, as the final Big 12 Conference game for both squads.

The Big 12 announced 2013 football schedules, including nonconference games, for all teams on Tuesday.

The Wildcats will open the Big 12 season at Texas on Sept. 21 and also will play its second Big 12 game on the road, at Oklahoma State, two weeks later. Then Kansas State has five of the next six at home before ending with the Jayhawks.

Iowa State has a couple of either/or games. The Oct. 5 home game with Texas could be played on Oct. 3, a Thursday. And the Cyclones’ Nov. 30 game at West Virginia could be played Nov. 29, a Friday.

Kansas, like the Wildcats, plays five league home games, starting on Oct. 5 with a visit from Texas Tech.

Other highlights for the Big 12 include more games against the Southeastern Conference. This season there was one.

The season opens on Aug. 31 with TCU meeting LSU in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and Oklahoma State taking on Mississippi State at Reliant Stadium in Houston. Two weeks later, Mississippi travels to Texas.

Oklahoma plays Notre Dame again, this time on Sept. 28 in South Bend, Ind.

The Big 12 regular season ends on Dec. 7.
