KMBC anchor Larry Moore will curb his work schedule
November 14
Beginning Dec. 3, Moore will anchor only the 6 p.m. news with Lara Moritz.
After more than 40 years behind the anchor desk, I have asked to scale back my schedule just a little bit, Moore said in a statement. I will continue to anchor the 6 p.m. weekday newscast and remain active in supporting our values and high standards for news excellence.
The move will allow him to spend more time with his wife and family, he said.
Moore began working at KMBC as a reporter in 1968 and became news anchor in 1972.
