An Olathe-based group is holding an economic growth summit today to discuss clinical research contracting as a source of jobs in the region.

The BioResearch Central Summit seeks to highlight the role that clinical research services provided on a contract basis play in drug development. The region is home to one of the larger concentrations of contract research providers nationally.

BioResearch Central members include more than 90 contract research organizations and related service providers in Kansas and Missouri.

The day long event begins at 8 a.m. at the Ritz-Charles in Overland Park.
