Quinn made the trip for Monday nights 16-13 loss to Pittsburgh and was examined by Dr. Micky Collins at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for an hour-and-a-half on Monday and was given the green light to play.
Im real excited, Quinn said. I was glad to be able to come with the team and being around them again because it stinks not being around these guys and not feeling like youre a part of them.
Quinn was hurt in the Chiefs game against Oakland on Oct. 28, his second start with the Chiefs. He also had suffered a concussion during preseason at Green Bay, so there was concern about his sustaining two concussions so close together.
Coach Romeo Crennel had said if Quinn would have been cleared before the Chiefs game at San Diego on Nov. 1, he would have started, but he has not said since if Quinn would reclaim the job once he returns.
