Eat your vegetables

When faced (as lad) with Brussels sprouts

On dinner plate, I had my doubts.

But came a parent’s standard stand:

“Some hungry child in distant land

Would love that Brussels sprout to eat.”

(A line of guilt that’s tough to beat.)

To which I said (ideas brewin’):

“Let’s pack it up and send it to ’em!”
