Nebraska and Southern Mississippi are in discussions to bring their football game next year to Arrowhead Stadium.

The Cornhuskers and Golden Eagles are scheduled to play Sept. 7 in Hattiesburg, Miss., as part of a three-game contract. Southern Miss played in Lincoln this season and is scheduled to return in 2015. The game at Arrowhead would be Southern Mississippi’s home game.

Nebraska has played twice in Arrowhead, a 1998 regular season game against Oklahoma State, which drew 79,555, and the 2006 Big 12 championship Game against Oklahoma. That game was attended by 80,031.
