Kevin Kouzmanoff signs with Marlins

The Sun Sentinel reported the Marlins signed third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff to a minor-league deal. Kouzmanoff spent the 2012 season in the Royals’ minor league system.

At Class AAA Omaha, he batted .262 with 31 RBIs in 56 games. At Class AA Northwest Arkansas, he hit .300 with two homers and 15 RBIs in 34 games.

The Royals signed Kouzmanoff in January and he was invited to spring training, but was sent to Omaha in April.
