“He loves playing football,” Pinkel said. “He absolutely loves playing football.”
On quarterback Corbin Berkstresser, who was pulled in the second half of MU’s 33-10 win over Kentucky on Saturday after throwing two interceptions:
“I can tell you stories about different quarterbacks I’ve had that played a lot worse games than that and went on to play in the NFL,” Pinkel said.
On freshman receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who caught a career-high seven passes for 25 yards on Saturday:
“It’s real important to get him involved in the game, just because he’s practicing so well,” Pinkel said.
