To lighten the darkly divisive political mood, there’s plenty of fun-spiririted red, white, blue and beyond election-watch-party gear out there.

Pryde’s Old Westport, 115 Westport Road, offers:
• Political Poppers, $12.95 per elephant or donkey. Each comes with six foam balls “ideal for firing at your know-it-all brother-in-law whose political views are at best idiotic.” Elephants shoot red balls and donkeys shoot blue ones, of course. The balls go up to 20 feet but land softly so they don’t hurt anyone.
• Tea bags for Obama and Romney, $8.99 (you get both in the same package), for a set of two. Cardboard likenesses of the candidates feature outstretched arms that hold the bags in place.
• Democrat or Republican “Let’s Get This Party Started” napkins, $5.50 for a package of 20.
• Elephant and donkey cookie cutters, $1 each.
But sorry, you can’t get the ceramic Obama Birther Certificate Tray from Fishs Eddy in time for the big day. The New York-based store sold out of the 8-by-7-inch serving piece. However, it should be available in December in time for the holidays, $19.95, fishseddy.com
