Math problem
Munday Verse
Munday on Monday: Math problem
October 21
The teacher in a class of math now asked me as a test:
“A train that leaves Chicago doing twenty headed west —”
“But sir!” I deign to interrupt this complicated talk,
“A train that’s doing twenty? Why, they might as well just walk!”
“All right!” he snaps, “It’s sixty, then!” To make this all complete,
He adds a train that’s headed east from Denver: will they meet
And how much time will pass? he asks. My answer thus I phrase:
“Well, teacher, let’s be realists — who takes the train these days?”
