LAWRENCE — Dexter McDonald, a former standout cornerback at Rockhurst, is set to return to the KU football program, according to Rivals.com. McDonald initially signed with the Jayhawks in 2010, becoming a member of Turner Gill’s first recruiting class.

He redshirted in 2010 before debuting last year, but he left school after the season and transferred to Butler County Community College. He is the 10th member of the Jayhawks’ 2013 recruiting class and should be able to arrive on campus in January, according to Rivals.
** Kansas’ home game against Texas on Oct. 27 will kick off at 11 a.m. and be televised on Fox Sports Net.
