A break-in at a storage shed at the Barstow School early Monday ended with one suspect in the hospital and another in police custody after a stolen maintenance vehicle they were driving overturned, police said.

Kansas City police were called to the school, 11511 State Line Road, about 3:15 a.m. on a report of an injury accident on a gravel road near the school’s baseball field. They found one person standing beside the overturned maintenance vehicle and one trapped underneath it.

Firefighters extricated the trapped person, who was taken to a hospital with a possible broken leg.
