The outage was caused by line cuts early Monday, said Crystal Davis, a spokeswoman for Overland Park-based Sprint. The first was near a railroad between Chicago and Milwaukee. That was followed shortly by one between Tacoma, Wash., and Portland, Ore., Davis said.
Service was expected to be fully restored Monday, she said.
Alaska Air Group Inc., which had been affected by Monday’s disruption, saw its service restored late Monday afternoon, Davis said.
