Free zoo day Saturday for Jackson and Clay countians

Updated: 2012-09-28T18:09:45Z

Residents of Jackson and Clay counties will receive free admission to the Kansas City Zoo on Saturday.

To get in free, residents should bring a photo ID with their address.

It is the final free day of four this year that were promised to voters in return for passing an eighth-cent sales tax last November to support the zoo. The zoo also is nearing the start-up of its free “zoomobile” services to those counties.
