KC offers training to residents on removal of illegal signs

Updated: 2012-09-25T03:30:12Z

Kansas City neighborhood leaders and residents who want training in removing nuisance signs can attend a workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Neighborhood Preservation Division, 4900 Swope Parkway.

Kansas City is cracking down on signs illegally placed in the public right-of-way, and has enlisted residents to help with this effort. The training will teach people how to determine whether a sign is illegally placed. Residents will also learn how to appropriately discard of the sign or how to submit it to the city for further enforcement.
