Sprint Nextel is gearing up for the launch this fall of Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy Note II

The release date and pricing were not disclosed.

However, Sprint said the phone will offer a number of firsts:

• The first Sprint device to launch with Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system.

• The first smartphone display screen larger than 5 inches.

• The first device to launch with a quadcore processor.

The Note II will be available on Sprint’s fourth-generation LTE network in two color options — marble white or titanium gray.
