Police on Monday identified the infant girl killed in a North Kansas City church parking lot Sunday morning as Autumn Humphrey.

Autumn, who would have turned 1 on Sept. 30, was struck by a car driven by an 88-year-old man outside First Baptist Church, 2205 Iron St., police said.

Her grandfather, Ronald Barnett, 65, and her aunt, Stephane Barnett, 40, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The girl’s grandfather was released from the hospital Monday morning.

Police did not release the name of the driver, who was not injured.

He was cooperating in the investigation, which police said is expected to continue several more weeks.

A spokesman for the church said the families did not want to speak to the media on Monday.

Services for Autumn had not yet been scheduled.
