Stargazing | Kardashians and Honey Boo Boo; the return of Wonder Woman
September 7
Kris Jenner thinks the mom on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is exploiting her daughter.
Take a moment and let that sink in.
RadarOnline quotes an unnamed source as saying the Kardashian matriarch is not a fan of TLCs next big thing, featuring 7-year-old Alana Thompson and her family.
Kris especailly has a strong dislike for June (Shannon), the source reportedly told the site, claiming the beauty pageant world is vile and that June is a bad mom for exploiting Alana in that way.
Wonder of wonders
Allan Heinberg, a producer and writer on Greys Anatomy, The O.C., The Gilmore Girls and Sex and the City, is bringing Wonder Woman to the tube.
Vulture.com says Heinberg is writing a script reportedly called Amazon for the CW, which would focus on W.W. as a young, budding superhero, rather than a fully formed defender of liberty.
In other words, Smallville with a teenage girl.
Longtime Stargazing readers may remember that just a year ago David E. Kelly produced a Wonder Woman pilot that was rejected, and Avengers director Joss Whedon tried for years to make a Wonder Woman movie.
Vamping it up
Speaking of super women, a new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 debuted this week. In it, Bella ( Kristen Stewart) tackles a mountain lion, and Aro ( Michael Sheen) looks like a guy whos taking his love for My Chemical Romance a little too far.
Before and after
Movieline reports Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy have filmed Before Midnight, their sequel to Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. The first two films captured the romance of Celine and Jesse, in their 20s and 30s. Before Sunset earned an Oscar nomination for adapted screenplay in 2005 but lost to Sideways.
