KU football's opener to be televised in KC on Metro Sports

LAWRENCE -- KU announced on Sunday that the Jayhawks' season-opening matchup with South Dakota State on Sept. 1 will be televised on the IMG Jayhawk Television Network. 

The game, which is set for a 6 p.m. kickoff, will be aired on Metro Sports in Kansas City; WIBW 13 in Topeka; and MY TV in Wichita. Broadcaster Gary Bender will be on the call, while Rich Baldinger will serve as the color analyst.
