K-State third in Big 12 volleyball poll

Kansas State was picked third in the preseason Big 12 volleyball poll Wednesday, a day after three Wildcats were chosen to the preseason all-Big 12 team.

The Wildcats finished behind league favorite Texas and Iowa State. K-State reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last season after upsetting No. 2 Nebraska on its home floor in the second round. It marked K-State’s third visit to the regional semifinals.

KU was picked sixth.
