Two area colleges have been included in the Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2012 list of “Great Colleges To Work For.”

Johnson County Community College in Overland Park and Webster University, which has a campus in Kansas City, were among the 103 colleges highlighted by the magazine in its fifth annual list.

The magazine surveyed nearly 47,000 employees from 294 colleges and universities. Workers evaluated their college in 12 areas, including job satisfaction, teaching environment, confidence in senior leadership and benefits.

JCCC scored high in job satisfaction, career development programs, and facilities, workspace and security.

Webster did well in compensation, respect and appreciation, and employees’ balancing work and life.
