The Chiefs signed veteran offensive tackle Ray Willis on Tuesday, a day after newly acquired tackle Tony Ugoh abruptly retired after four days of camp.

Chiefs sign veteran offensive tackle Willis
July 31
Willis is a five-year veteran, mostly with Seattle, but has not played in a league game since 2009, when he started all 16 games for the Seahawks. Willis spent 2010 on injured reserve because of knee injuries.
He went to camp with Miami last year but was released in the final cut-down. He spent some time on the New Orleans roster in 2011 but did not appear in a game. And he was signed by the Jets last spring only to be released on June 28.
