— The agent for former Baltimore outside linebacker Edgar Jones tweeted today that Jones had signed with the Chiefs.

Jones, 27, played five seasons with the Ravens, never starting a game.

The Chiefs are short on experience at outside linebacker behind starters Tamba Hali and Justin Houston. Other than Jones, the backups are Andy Studebaker, Cameron Sheffield and Gabe Miller.

Studebaker filled in for Houston when Houston missed a practice on Saturday because he was ill.
