Truman State, an original member of the MIAA, is joining a new conference.

The Bulldogs will become the 16th member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, starting in fall, 2013 and will join six other Missouri schools in the league: Rockhurst, William Jewell, Drury, Maryville, Missouri University of Science & Technology and University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The MIAA started in 1912 with 14 schools, and Truman is one of three that has spent its entire athletic history, along with Northwest Missouri State and Central Missouri, in the conference.
