Chiefs get their veteran safety
By ADAM TEICHERKansas City Star
He's Abram Elam, who played six years with Dallas, the New York Jets and Cleveland. Elam started 64 games during that time.
While Elam won't be a threat to either of the starters, Eric Berry and Kendrick Lewis, he at least has some experience, which has been lacking with Berry and Lewis sidelined during off-season practice. The Chiefs had been using some odd combinations at safety, so they may try to get Elam worked into the mix as soon as possible.
