The rule on the setting of prices

When sign of a “Sale” stands in yard:

How different the relative values

Of merchandise I will regard.

An item of mine that I’m selling?

Collectible treasure, I’ll boast;

My stuff is so precious you’re finding

My prices are retail (almost).

Yet off at the sale of another,

An item that’s nearly the same

A dollar at most I’ll be paying!

(As customer I will exclaim.)

So here is the guideline for pricing

Before down your dollar you plunk:

At my sale, the items are vintage;

At yours, they are basically junk.
