The Chiefs finished their practice week with a workout today. Some observations:
Red Zone
Albert, Baldwin absent from practice

1. Branden Albert and Jonathan Baldwin were absent from the practice, at which participation is voluntary under NFL rules. Coach Romeo Crennel said Albert was tending to personal business but would return for next week's practices. He indicated Baldwin was dealing with a medical issue. Crennel wasn't specific but Baldwin's absence may be related to recent migraine problems.
2. Tight end Martin Rucker left practice early with an injured right ankle or knee. Rucker walked off the field when he eventually got to his feet but he moved with a noticeable limp.
3. With Dwayne Bowe not participating in the off-season practices and Baldwin out, it was a tough day for the receivers. Dexter McCluster and Jeremy Horne each dropped an easily catchable pass and Devon Wylie had a pass in his hands in the end zone before he allowed a defensive back to knock it free. Wylie later atoned for it by making a diving catch in the end zone and Junior Hemingway also made a big catch that drew raves from offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
4. The Chiefs resurrected the wildcat formation for one play with McCluster taking a direct snap from center.
