Southeastern Conference commissioner to visit Kansas City Tuesday

Updated: 2012-03-27T05:54:26Z

Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive is bringing the SEC’s Missouri welcome wagon to Kansas City.

Slive will be the guest speaker Tuesday afternoon at the Tiger Club of Kansas City’s weekly lunch meeting at the Westport Flea Market. He is also expected to meet with reporters after the session. The event is sold out.

The SEC commissioner was in Columbia four months ago for Missouri’s pomp-filled announcement of its move from the Big 12 Conference.

Missouri joins its new league on July 1 and will compete in a full-slate of SEC football starting in September.
