What: Breakfast served in a heated tent beginning at 7 a.m. and a traditional Irish lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live music, beer and a play area for kids.

When: March 17

What: St. Patrick’s Day “Brickfast,” an Irish toast contest at 1 p.m. and music by Blarney Stoned.

What: The Stonecutters and the Bohannons perform a free live show.


The Dubliner

When: March 17

Where: 170 E. 14th St.

What: The new Irish-themed bar in the space formerly occupied by Raglan Road in the Power & Light District opens at 8 a.m. for Irish breakfast. Live entertainment includes: Eddie Delahunt from 9 a.m. until noon, Irish dancing from noon to 4 p.m., The Shanks from 1 to 5 p.m., the Pat Lentz Band from 6 to 9 p.m. and Mix 93.3’s Steve Serrano DJing from 10 p.m. to close.


The Gaf Pub & Grille

W hat: The Irish bar opens at 8 a.m. with a $10.99 Irish breakfast that includes eggs, Irish sausage and black and white pudding.

What: Dumptruck Butterlips, Ashes to Immortality and Tyler Gregory perform at this 18-and-older show. Doors open at 9 p.m., and there’s no cover charge.

What: The Power & Light dueling piano bar opens at noon serving $3 green Bud Lights and two-for-one Irish Car Bombs.


J. Murphy’s Irish Pub & Grille

When: March 17

Where: 22730 Midland Drive in Shawnee

What: Live music from 1 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with Echo Creek from 1 to 5 p.m. and the Steve Moser Band from 5 to 9 p.m. Beer and food specials, including corned beef and cabbage. The bar opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 1:30 a.m.

What: Doors open at 8 a.m. Live music includes Jonathan Ramsey from 4 to 6 p.m. and DJ CMAC from 9 p.m. until close. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and also get you into the party at The Well (see p. 47).

What: The Irish-themed bar and restaurant in the Power & Light District opens its doors at 7 a.m. The first 100 people to show up get free breakfast and T-shirts. Green beer, games and giveaways throughout the day.

When: 8 p.m., 10 p.m. March 17

Where: 320 Southwest Blvd.

What: The Kansas City Society of Burlesque performs two St. Patrick’s Day burlesque and variety shows. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door.

What: Country musician Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina perform. The show is officially sold out.


Tengo Sed Cantina

What: The Power & Light bar holds an early St. Patrick’s Day party with green beer and Guinness specials from 8 to 10 p.m.




When: 8 p.m. March 17

Where: 3700 Broadway

What: Tenth annual St. Patrick’s Day Hoolie featuring live music from The Elders. Front table reservations are $45 and back tables are $37.


The Well

When: 8 a.m. March 17

Where: 7421 Broadway

What: Doors open at 8 a.m. Live music includes Flannigan’s Right Hook from 3-5:30 p.m., The Kelihans from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and DJ Ashton Martin from 9 p.m. until close. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and also get you into the party at Lew’s Grill & Bar.

Westport St. Patrick’s Day Run

When: 10 a.m. Saturday

Where: Westport Road and Pennsylvania Avenue

What: The 34th annual four-mile run through Westport, which Ink is sponsoring, benefits The Children’s Place. Pre-registered runners get green T-shirts, and post-race drink and food specials are available from participating Westport restaurants.
