 •  WHEN/WHERE: 8 tonight at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas

•  TV/RADIO: ESPN, KMBZ (980 AM, 98.1 FM)

•  ABOUT MISSOURI (19-2, 6-2 in Big 12): Missouri rebounded from a disappointing 79-72 road loss to a sub-.500 Oklahoma State team on Wednesday with a tough, grind-it-out 63-50 home win over Texas Tech on Saturday. The Tigers received terrific performances from their usual cast of characters in that game, as senior guards Kim English (22 points) and Marcus Denmon (19) led the way with sophomore guard Phil Pressey tying a career-high with 12 assists.

•  ABOUT TEXAS (13-8, 3-5): Texas is coming off a close 76-71 road loss to Baylor, but the young Longhorns have shown improvement recently. They own a home win over Iowa State, which just beat Kansas, which was previously undefeated in Big 12 play. The Longhorns feature a dangerous gunner in junior two-guard J’Covan Brown, who scored 32 points in the loss to Baylor.

•  BOTTOM LINE: Texas has proven to be a much better team at home, which isn’t a surprise given its youth. If Missouri wants to win this one, it will have to display more hustle and toughness than it did in its last road game, an upset loss to Oklahoma State. Also keep an eye on how the Tigers defend Brown — he went off for 34 points in Missouri’s 84-73 home win over the Longhorns on Jan. 14.
