More Sports:

First half

•  Key play: Oklahoma State senior guard Keiton Page nailed a jumper in the waning seconds of the half to give the Cowboys a one-point lead at the break.

•  Key stat: Oklahoma State, which entered the game ranked last in the Big 12 in rebounding margin, outrebounded the Tigers 17-15 in the first half.

Second half

•  Key play: With Missouri leading 64-62 and desperately in need of a stop, the Cowboys came up with a loose ball that ended up in the hands of freshman swingman Le’Bryan Nash, who drilled a three-pointer to give Oklahoma State a lead it would never relinquish.

•  Key stat: Missouri only shot 38 percent from the field in the second half, compared to Oklahoma State’s 62 percent.

Nash makes an impression

The Big 12 features a number of very good players, but Missouri saw Wednesday why Le’Bryan Nash was considered to be one of the top recruits in the country.

Nash, who has had his ups and downs this year and has drawn criticism for his inconsistent play, scored 19 of his career-high 27 points after halftime in guiding the Cowboys to the upset. He also finished with four rebounds and four assists.

Missouri coach Frank Haith called him a good player who had a great game. Missouri forward Ricardo Ratliffe was also laudatory.

“He’s 6-7, 230 and can shoot threes,” Ratliffe said. “He was just confident. You know he’s been working on his game.”

• According to ESPN Stats and Information, Wednesday’s loss marks the sixth time a ranked Missouri team has lost in Stillwater.
