Sesame Street Live | Thursday through SundayElmo and his Sesame Street pals are coming to the Sprint Center stage to share their love of music. This traveling production features disco hits such as The Hustle and You Should Be Dancing, plus Sesame Street classics such as C Is for Cookie and The Alphabet Song. Admission includes access to the Play Zone, which features Big Birds nest, Oscars trash can, Zoes dance studio and Elmos World. Shows are at 7 p.m. Thursday, 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Regular tickets are $13-$34 through Ticketmaster.com, and VIP tickets are available for $65 at the Sprint Center box office.
WWE Raw Supershow | MondayThe phenomenon that is professional wrestling has managed to endure, and this week brings the WWE and its assortment of fighters to the Sprint Center for a one-night show. The evenings WWE Championship match pits CM Punk against the Miz. The RAW Challenge match features John Cena and Kane. Chris Jericho also returns to the ring in this nationally televised event, which begins at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15-$60. Details at sprintcenter.com. Shen Yun | TuesdayIn just six years, the New York-based Shen Yun company has evolved into a multifaceted spectacle, a colorful collection of dance and music meant to honor and rekindle Chinas rich traditional culture. Stocked with dozens of performers, including award-winning dancers and vocalists, Shen Yun has toured across the world. On Tuesday the group performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Music Hall. Tickets are $40-$100 at shenyunperformingarts.org. Polar Plunges | SaturdayHypothermia be damned at the annual Polar Plunges that benefit Special Olympics in Missouri and Kansas. The 12th annual Kansas Polar Plunge and Strut at Shawnee Mission Park starts at 10 a.m. with a 5K run/walk, and theres a party afterward at Johnnys Tavern in Olathe.
