Breakthrough road win
Kansas State won its first road game ever on an Atlantic Coast Conference’s home court. The Wildcats improved to 8-10 against ACC teams, including 1-2 on the road. Sunday’s game was the Wildcats’ first regular-season visit to ACC country since Dec. 11, 1959, when they lost 69-59 at N.C. State.•Frank Martin picked up his 100th career victory as Kansas State’s coach Sunday. He got to 100 wins faster than all but one coach in school history.Tex Winter, who went 261-118 from 1954 to 1968 had 100 wins in his first 142 games.
