K-State notes: Wildcats rebound well

First half

KEY PLAY: Jamar Samuels hit Victor Ojeleye with a nice pass under the basket, and Ojeleye made a layup that put K-State ahead 32-29 at half.

KEY STAT: The Wildcats made one of 10 three-pointers.

Second half

KEY PLAY: George Washington’s coach picked up a technical, and Will Spradling made two free throws to continue a 20-5 run for K-State.

KEY STAT: Spradling scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half.

Notes

•George Washington offered more size than any opponent K-State has seen this season, but the Wildcats were still able to dominate inside. K-State outrebounded George Washington 50-42 and scored 32 points in the paint. Samuels, Thomas Gipson and Jordan Henriquez were all good on the glass, combining for 34 rebounds.

•Rodney McGruder scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds but missed all four of his three-point attempts.

•Jordan Henriquez scored six points and snared 11 rebounds.
