Families USA, an organization that advocates for health care consumers, calculates that national reforms mandated in the Affordable Care Act will save Missouri households an average of $2,070 a year.
The calculations, based on households earning $100,000 a year or less, said the poorest households — earning less than $30,000 — will be $3,107 better off.The savings come from tax credits and limits on out-of-pocket expenses as well as access to lower-cost coverage.
