Angry birds?
There’s something amiss with emotion, I fear,Of birds that are angry, that’s all that I hear. Can’t say that I’ve witnessed such avian piqueIn watching the feeder for week after week.Attracted by feeder, they come from above it(Particular seed, why, the cardinals love it.)Quite placid the sparrows, serene now the doves;Occasional jostling, but nobody shoves.I’ve even seen bird of a generous streakWho hopped off the feeder, a seed in his beak,Then carefully placed it in beak of his mate; Can hearts of such critters bear anger or hate? When filling the feeder, I pour all the seed in;So, angry? No, happy...as long as you feed ’em.
