Pinkel says Big 12 has "some issues other leagues don't have"

Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel made some interesting comments to Tim Brando today on Yahoo! Sports Radio.

When asked by Brando on where the Big 12's coaches fall on issue of the Longhorn Network -- which Pinkel criticized at Big 12 media days in July -- and more recently, Texas A&M's departure from the league, Pinkel opened up.

"Obviously we have some issues in our league. ... When Nebraska leaves one year, Colorado leaves and then also now Texas A&M," Pinkel said. "So its three real good football teams are leaving. ...

"Without question there are some issues that other leagues don't have. You don't hear anything about any other league in the country having these problems. And we all know where it starts. ...

"There's no other league in the country where this stuff goes on. And it's really a shame because the potential of the league is really tremendous."
