DST Systems buys Canadian firm

Kansas City-based DST Systems Inc. said it has bought Subserveo Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The company provides broker-dealer firms and investment advisers with automated compliance and surveillance programs.

Subserveo’s systems allows compliance officers and branch managers to conduct automated oversight of daily trading activity and the suitability of investments for customers.

Terms of the purchase weren’t disclosed.

Subserveo will become part of DST’s recently created DST Brokerage Solutions.
