Hemline hopes to open a location in Leawood’s Park Place this fall.

The women’s contemporary clothing store, which opened on the Country Club Plaza in mid-2004, is in negotiations for a spot in the center at 117th Street and Nall Avenue and would open in November.

The new store also would carry maternity and baby items.

"The location feels very homey and people friendly," said Annie Kennedy, a partner and co-founder.
