Royals right-hander Sean O'Sullivan is heading to the 15-day disabled list because of tenditinis in his right biceps. The move comes one day after he allowed seven runs and eight hits over 2 2/3 innings in Thursday's 8-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.
The Royals filled O'Sullivan's spot on the roster by recalling reliever Jesse Chavez from Class AAA Omaha. That move suggests long reliever Nate Adcock will return to the rotation as O'Sullivan's replacement.O'Sullivan is 2-5 and has a 6.92 ERA after giving up 34 runs and 45 hits in 24 1.3 innings over his last five starts.
