The anti-comedy of Zach Galifianakis

More News

Comedian Zach Galifianakis kills in "The Hangover," opening Friday.

But pre-"Hangover," Zach had bit parts in “Into the Wild” and “What Happens in Vegas” and in TV’s “Boston Common” and “Tru Calling.” In July, he’ll play the trainer of guinea pig secret agents in Disney’s “G-Force.”

He’s big on the Interwebs, though. Here are some of our favorite Zach vids:

‘Between Two Ferns’

A disinterested and slightly perverted Galifianakis interviews celebs (Jon Hamm, Natalie Portman, Jimmy Kimmel). With Michael Cera, he falls asleep.

‘On Physical Comedy’

To explain it would ruin it. It’s a clip from the documentary “The Comedians of Comedy,” now available on DVD or through iTunes.

‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’

Kanye West asked Galifianakis to make a video for “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” so he and singer-songwriter Will Oldham took hip-hop to the country.

‘Late World’

For nine weeks, Galifianakis had a talk show on VH1. Sort of. He seemed to spend most of his time trying not to have a talk show on VH1.

‘A Vodka Movie’

Galifianakis made a three-part commercial/film for Absolut Vodka with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of Cartoon Network’s “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job.” Naturally, Zach wears a bouffant wig.
