Weekend rumors that Chelsea Clinton planned to get married this summer on Martha's Vineyard are not true, says a Clinton spokesman.

"She's not getting married on the Vineyard or anywhere else this summer," said spokesman Matthew McKenna. "It's absolutely not true."

Newspaper accounts reported that Vinyeard residents were abuzz about a possible August ceremony for Clinton and boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky at the home of longtime Clinton friends and supporters Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.

The Clintons have long vacationed on the island, and President Barack Obama and his family are rumored to be spending the last two weeks of August there this summer.
