Specially designed cases in the African galleries in the Bloch Building will feature rotating displays of work from the collection.

This recently acquired “Mask of the Bewitched” from the Central Pende peoples of the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be displayed for the first time when the building opens.

The piece dates from the early 20th century and is made from wood, chalk, kaolin and carbon.
