Steve Paul, senior writer and editor, has been on the staff since 1975. His three-part series in 2004, “Glass & Glory: Building Art,” reported on the design and construction of the glass lenses of the Bloch Building.

Alice Thorson has been The Star’s art critic since 1991. In addition to her chronicles of Kansas City’s contemporary art scene, she has produced in recent years a series of close looks at the Nelson’s expansion project.

Rich Sugg has been a staff photographer for 22 years. He also worked with Paul on “Glass & Glory.”

The section was edited by Steve Paul and Mary Lou Nolan and copy edited by Gary Marx.
