Dean Johnson and Tysie McDowell-Ray think the third time may be the charm for realizing a longtime goal of downtown advocates: opening a school. The educators already have the sponsorship of the University of Central Missouri for their proposed Crossroads Academy charter school. The Missouri Board of Education is scheduled to consider their charter application later this month.
